| Classes |
| Classes
are taught in groups of no more than twelve, because of this
restricted number there is enough time for the instructor to
be able to see and correct any mistake made while performing
the exercises (such as incorrect positioning or alignment).
This is one of the big attractions of Body Control Pilates,
and is one reason why the results are noticeable very quickly. |
|
| Some
exercises are performed on a mat, while others are performed
either standing or sitting. We will use different pieces of
equipment during the class such as stretch bands, tennis balls
and cushions. |
| |
| All
classes last one hour, with time allowed between classes for
any discussions with the instructor. |
| |
|
Unlike
other fitness regimes Pilates needs to be taught as a course
and treated more as something you are studying for yourself
than as just an "exercise class". The course usually runs for a 12 to 13 week period and must be paid in full before attending the first class. All clients must also complete an enrolment
form. Beginners classes run regularly throughout the year
with clients progressing at their own speed.
