All classes last one hour, with time allowed between classes for any discussions with the instructor.
Classes are taught in groups of no more than twelve, ensuring enough time for the instructor to be able to see and correct any mistake made while performing the exercises. This is one of the big attractions of Body Control Pilates, and is one reason why the results are noticeable very quickly.
Some exercises are performed on a mat, while others are performed either standing or sitting. We will use different pieces of equipment during the class such as stretch bands, tennis balls and Pilates circles and triadballs.
Unlike other fitness regimes Pilates needs to be taught as a course and treated more as something you are studying for yourself than as just an "exercise class". The course usually runs for a six week period and must be paid in full before attending the first class. the first lesson is a taster lesson so there is a chance to try the class before you book a course. Beginners classes run regularly throughout the year with clients progressing at their own speed.
One to one sessions cost £30.
